A leading supplier of performance engines is currently seeking 2 Dyno & Rig engine test technicians on a permanent basis.

Engine Test Technician

- Engine Rig and Dyno Test Technician within Test Operations function

Role purpose:-
- Undertake the day-to-day operation and maintenance of the production and development test facilities
- Provide flexible cover to run the steady state dynos, single cylinder dyno and test rigs and occasionally the transient facilities as required by demand / activity
- Develop the appropriate skills to enable delivery of a comprehensive and highly competent development and production test service
- Contribute to the production of quality test results during core hours when maximum support is available from internal departments

Role Responsibilities:-
- Involved in the development, commissioning and operation of steady state dynos, rigs and single cylinder test beds including the support to commission of new systems
- Installing and testing production and development racing engines and components
- General maintenance of the test bed systems including driveline maintenance and repairs
- Identification and resolution of engine faults including entry into the fault system
- Support to the relevant Test Engineers

Knowledge, skills and experience required
- Proven experience of engine testing and test automation systems
- Sound mechanical knowledge of engines
- Engine electrical and electronic systems knowledge an advantage
- Aptitude for computing, MS Office and knowledge of ECU systems would be an advantage
- Test data processing and interpretation
- Engine assembly

Salary £25,000 - £35,000 plus benefits
